[Processing Example] Balance Shaft Made of S40C
Extension of tool blade holding and ensuring dimensional accuracy! A case of intermittent cutting processing on the outer diameter using a lathe.
We would like to introduce a case study of the processing of balance shafts for automotive engines that we conducted. The product underwent intermittent cutting processing on the outer diameter using a lathe. Generally, lathe processing is performed with continuous cutting, but in the case of intermittent cutting, the tool is pressed against the material intermittently, making it prone to chipping and vibration, which increases the difficulty of maintaining stable processing accuracy. Our company has the know-how to achieve both extended tool life and dimensional accuracy. We can consistently perform high-precision, high-quality mass production processing of several thousand to tens of thousands of units per month while maintaining tool life. 【Case Overview】 ■ Product Classification: Balance Shaft ■ Delivery Industry: Automotive Industry ■ Application: Engine Parts ■ Material: S40C ■ Size: L244mm, Balance Section: R28.5, Shaft Diameter: Maximum φ35, Minimum φ12.5 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
